PLTS Pertamina Refinery Unit V Balikpapan<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In 2024, Pertamina had initiated the development of a solar power plant to support operations at its Refinery Unit V in Balikpapan. The project was led by Pertamina Power Indonesia as part of the company\u2019s commitment to integrate renewable energy into its industrial operations. With a total installed capacity of 2.5 MWp<\/span>, this photovoltaic system was designed to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.<\/p>

As one of Indonesia\u2019s leading low-voltage panel manufacturers, Indopanel Perkasa Mandiri<\/span> was entrusted to supply and manufacture all low-voltage panels supporting the solar power system. The panels were installed across 3 key operational area: the Warehouse<\/span>, Workshop<\/span>, and HSSE\/Fire Station.<\/span><\/p>

The panels were designed to operate within a specialized 800V and 400V distribution system<\/span>, suitable for handling higher current capacities associated with large-scale photovoltaic installations. The panels were constructed with robust busbar systems, high-performance circuit breakers, and protection devices for demanding industrial environments. In addition, the system was designed to enable seamless\u00a0grid interconnection with PLN.<\/span>\u00a0This on-grid configuration ensures that the excess energy obtained from the photovoltaic system is distributed back to the residential areas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In 2023, one of Bali\u2019s largest academic centers in tourism and hospitality, Politeknik Pariwisata Bali<\/span><\/span>, underwent a major campus facility upgrade to support its growing educational infrastructure. As part of this large-scale development, Indopanel Perkasa Mandiri was appointed by the main contractor to deliver and execute the low-voltage electrical distribution system for the project.<\/p>

Our scope of work included the wiring design, manufacturing, testing, delivery, and commissioning of approximately 20 low-voltage panels, distributed across the campus to ensure balanced power distribution throughout the entire polytechnic complex. Some of the panels include:<\/p>

  • LVMDP (Low Voltage Main Distribution Panel)<\/strong> \u2013 Functioning as the primary power control center, the LVMDP receives incoming power from the MV transformer and distributes it to multiple downstream panels. It is equipped with high-capacity main breakers, protection relays, busbar systems, metering instruments, and protection devices to ensure system reliability and fault isolation.<\/p><\/li>

  • SDP (Sub Distribution Panel)<\/strong> \u2013 Acting as secondary distribution units, the SDPs receive power from the LVMDP and distribute it to specific buildings or zones. These panels are designed to provide localized protection and easier maintenance access while maintaining system selectivity and coordination.<\/p><\/li>

  • Capacitor Bank Panels<\/strong> \u2013 Installed to improve overall electrical efficiency, these panels provide automatic power factor correction by compensating reactive power. By maintaining a high power factor, the system reduces energy losses and minimizes penalties from the PLN.<\/p><\/li>

  • Power Panels<\/strong> \u2013 These panels distribute electricity to various building loads, including HVAC systems, lighting systems, elevators, pumps, laboratory equipment, and other operational appliances essential to campus activities<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Several months ago, Indopanel Perkasa Mandiri<\/span> was entrusted with the rebuilding of a sewage treatment control panel serving the Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta (MRT Jakarta) network, located near Istora Senayan Station, Jakarta. The existing panel had suffered severe internal component damage, affecting its reliability and operational safety.\u00a0<\/p>

    This control panel functions as the central command system for 4 sewage pumps. It is designed to manage both automatic and manual operations.<\/span>\u00a0In automatic mode, the panel regulates the pump based on water level conditions to maintain stable effluent levels within the treatment tank. In manual mode, operators can individually start or stop each pump with the help of push buttons.\u00a0To enhance operational safety, the panel is equipped with a high-level alarm system. When the effluent tank approaches its maximum capacity, the system activates alarms to alert operators, and the control logic is configured to immediately stop the active pumps under critical conditions, hence preventing overflow.<\/span><\/p>
